This pedal worked best with and low gain but pushing the amp hard through it. Works wonders. Sounds very tasty that way. High gain setting makes it muddy and wasn't efficient, its not ultra gain pedal anyway. The voicing switch does a modern/classic switching, but is quite hard to notice the differences, at least for my unit. Really a big fan of the aforementioned settings.

Heavy distortions can be played adjusting Gain and Level knobs. Very good product by TC Electronics.
This is a great pedal on its own. Good range of tones. Didn't go well with my multi-fx pedal though.
Won't get this pedal cheaper than on Bajaao.com. I feel every guitarist must have this pedal and one will find his own tone within. What you getting at this price, will not get anywhere. This competes with most famous brands you know out there in the market. Adds great sustain along with the dark tone, I love.
For the price they are about the best if you are on a budget. Its way better than DS-1 for example. Put it next to a wampler sovereign and you wil see that you get what you pay for. This is a great pedal especially for the price. I play through a modeling amp with built in effects and I'm not real crazy about the distortion choices. This solved my problem. It can do everything from crunchy blues to all out high gain distortion. I would characterize it as very Marshall sounding. I've gigged with it and it's done a great job. It is my first and only distortion pedal and for it's modest price you can't go wrong.
It is the most noiseless pedal. What more can you ask for? An all analogue circuit and dual band tone control gives me the desired freedom to play with sounds. Awesome product!
