The PRS Custom 24 was just a curiosity buy, and man...i was surprised by the playability for what i paid for the Korean made guitar. The set up wasn't perfect, i spent like an hour on it. When done, i could make a blind bet that it felt pretty premium like in the 1L price range. The pickups weren't bright, but more warm with a well pronounced mid-low kinda tone. The three way pickup sweep wasn't too dramatic. It was subtle and gradual...pretty grown up and the hardware is good.I tightened up the arm a bit cos it was too swingy...it responded well but you couldn't expect it to stay in tune too well cos it's not a locking system. I would be changing the tuners to Sperzel in a weeks time because of that. The fretboard was flawless. Nothing to comment. The inlays felt smooth...I removed the strings and felt the bare fretboard and it was smooth...a well done fret and inlay job. Spot on!!! If your budget is somewhere in the 50Ks...please do go in for this Guitar. Not sure about the Indonesian ones, but this was magic. I wouldn't even consider those 45K Ibanez guitars or the locally custom made ones cos you would need to buy ALL required electronics and hardware yourself and you end up paying a bomb for just the wood work. An overall great buy is this guitar which proved to be worth playing for long hours to come. This one would be a lifelong keep for me. Cheers Bajaao...and PRS. Keep those great guitars coming up.
Its awesome
