This is one of the most versatile guitar you can get at this price point. Obviously being RG, it is very good for metal and hard rock, but I really love how good it is for blues, rock n roll and jazz music. The tuning stability is great. It looks so damn good.
Out of the box setup was not the best but tolerable and I was able to set it up at home myself. Since then playability has rocketed up as well.
Finally I would like to suggest, if you are serious about taking an electric guitar, doesn't matter if you are upgrading or buying your first electric axe just go for this one or any of the RG421 guitars from Ibanez.
