Monterey Strat

It's basically a mexican strat but with a 60's vintage spec giving an awesome aesthetic vibrant look of Hendrix's Monterey Signature. The build quality is better than its mexican standard but not upto the American made..obviously certain things were skip to keep the price down so that anyone could keep it..like the doesnt have rolled edges or much rounded fret edges...but that comprise doesnt really affect the playability and the tone ...hardcse was also not included ...may that was also a factor to keep the pricing compeitively...If we see from the perspective of that certain era the spec has to be true except the uses of pau ferro instead of rosewood as the fingerboard..though i was never into rothe rosesewood...But to be honest the pau ferro has its own thing going on..the smoothness juz like a maple and its strip browny color..it juz feel n look different...i ve darken the pau ferro using music nomad fingerbaord cleaner...and it looks more beautiful than it was before...pickups a bit a little thinner sounding...may be upgrade with a much better option in future but keeping for the time being...overall its a keeper..wont be seeing in the market again once its gone..happy to own it
