Alsesi crimson II Special Edition is mysteriously first E-drum. I had to go for an E-drum just because I live in an apartment with a lot of challenges. After going through a lot of reviews and stuffs, I was a bit confused whether to go for Alesis or Roland, and took a leap of faith, bought this one...And guess what, Alesis crimson II se never failed to satisfy me ;)
Special thanks to the mesh head technology! they really produce the feel of an Acoustic drum kit, Partially...and also these mesh heads, even the whole kit looks Dope and im pretty sure that if you're looking for an E-drum, around this price range, Just go for it!
One thing that I would advice to anyone who already owns this beast or about to get one; Thought there are around 660 sounds or tones to assign to each of your pads, they all are not that Amazing..but still, dope tones are also available, all you have to do is; Work on some technical stuffs (like adjusting the Pan, Reverb, Reverb, Pitch, Volume...of an individual tone which you assign to a pad).
The only issue that I see in this beautiful drum kit is the MIDI issues....The hit-hat Pedal and the hi-hat Cymbal, both has separate Inputs, but both of the inputs got the SAME MIDI NOTE :( so when we connect MIDI to a DAW and play the i-hat, open or close, only one can be assigned...even MIDI note Mapping can't fix this...THERE MIGHT BE A SOLUTION...if you guys know about it please do let me know :) (kenanstondrums@gmail.com).
And overall, this Kit is the best for this price range, so don't miss this beauty ;)
