They're powerful, articulate and have amazing tone. Perfect for high gain riffing and soloing. They also have an amazing clean tone that is bright and very pleasant. The coil split doesn't lose any of the power and tonal quality, much to my surprise. At the end of the day, they were good enough for Dimebag, so of course they're amazing pickups.
Fixed it on my Ibanez gio series H s s model. Now its changed the tonal characters of my guitar. Even though the Ibanez gio series is for starters and is made of compressed agathis wood which poorly helps in resonating..it totally gave me so much confidence and power while playing. if you are comfortable with your current guitar while playing the hardest solos which you can.. this pickup will give more confidence and will cut through the mix like a boss. Chugs really well
