This is more than a review ... i want to share my story here .... I bought a 5 years old used Ltd Viper 10. So the guitar was almost fucked up and more over the guy who sold it probably never serviced the guitar ... so expecting a good tone from that axe was too much ... but i took the challenge ... installed new tuning machine head, tuneomatic bridge and tail piece, adjusted the truss rod and refretted the fingerboard .... installed the anvil on bridge and wowwww what a rock machine ... earlier i experienced with Dimarzio Dactivator, Dimarzio X2N, EMG 81 ... but never get that well defined low end in a cheapest axe. I mostly tuned in drop c and b and play stuffs from slipknot, mudvayne, alterbridge, disturbed, a few metallica, korn, dope etc etc ... the low string is most well defined and has the exact mid range to get that tone ... from now on whatever guitar i get railhammer will b there for sure ... and the most amazing news is they r working on the 7 string version of anvil and chiesel ... i must say that i took the right decision by going with anvil .. it simply rocks
One of the best passive pickups I've ever come across. The depth in the tone is killer. Its simply a pickup made for playing metal and other heavier genres. A Must Have if you want passives with detailings of active in your Axe.
