This is one of the smoothest guitars i've ever played. Leaving the buzz from the single coils aside, the fretboard is smooth, which allows good finger movement. The neck is comfortable to play and sound-wise it is perfect. I changed the strings on mine with DAddarios when it came in. The electronics are good but as every guitar needs, a good setup and checkup of electronics makes this guitar a fantastic piece of gear. go for this!
