The series of LINE6 POD HD500 and onwards are such a series of processors that can be used for a lifetime. In short "THEY HAVE YOU COVERED THROUGH OUT THE LIFETIME" . U say and it has got it all. And after its decrease in price I would just say Its a JEM and talking bout looks "ITS A BEAST"Special Thanks to Bajaao and team for delivering the processor in such a safe (DOUBLE) packaging and on time... You guys are highly recommendable peoples for Musicians needs. Keep up the Spirit Guys.

One of the best industry standard Amp modelor

It's a Amp Modelor ...to be precise a Tube Amp modelor along with bundles of legendary Vintage and Modern Amplifiers and effects....To me i was more satisfied to use it with the 4cable method along a Tube amp's power amp ... and explore those wonderful amp pre amps in a tap....It's a one stop solution for gigging and recording session....

One of the best out there!!

Hi Metalheads,I am writing this review after using the processor for over 3 years and performing at 20-odd gigs that use advanced high-end amps (which are required to test the true potential of this beast). Mostly, I play metal and punk, and this is the appropriate companion for my Ibanez RG370DXZ (or any other electric guitar for that matter). Following is the detailed review of the product:Interface and Usability:As soon as you plug in the POD HD500, you realise that its damn easy to navigate. It has over 100 M-class FX, and comes with 19 delays and 12 reverbs, 12 compressors and EQs, 17 distortions, 23 modulations, and 26 filters. Also, it offers looping, harmonising and pitch shifting. It can be easily connected to a PC or a laptop through Line 6 Monkey and HD500 editor apps. It has an amazing graphic user interface and its extremely easy to understand (PDF versions of manuals can also be downloaded for both the apps). For recording, you just need to plug in the guitar and use the USB out to ur PC or laptop. Also, it can be easily used for late night practice by plugging in a headphones. One function that i have extensively used is the looper. It is really amazing and customizable too. Lets say you put the looper on after adding all the effects, and tweak the overdrive, you can actually hear it changing real time. You can use it as a basic guitar riff, while changing the gains and mids, and the sound is replicated immediately. However, the length of the looper is a bit short. For example when i have to record a full 12 bar blues sequence, it gets cut out at bar 9 or 10 and starts over.Creating your own tones will also be very easy (a bit patience required in the beginning as it is a step by step learning) using the editor app, and you get an awesome personalised experience.Tones and Effects:I have used this product majorly for metal and punk, and its has exceeded my expectations time and again. One of my friends (a blues guitarist) borrow...

BEST TONES IN THE WORLD

As a guitar player who has record albums and uses a home studio now, I've been searching for a digital guitar tone for years, specially because the amplifiers are too expensive, and when I got my POD HD500, I came up with the tone I was looking for in like 1 or 2 hours after I start trying it at home!! since then I've been navigating through all the different amps and all the other features, and I must say it's been a really gratifying experience. Now I can record directly to my DAW and get a very organic, clean, natural almost microphoned sound! I sent an audio sample of the guitar tone to a friend, just RAW recording, and he thought I had recorded that with a microphone directly from an amplifier, THAT'S HOW NATURAL IT SOUNDED, and he studies music and music production, so HE KNOWS about SOUND QUALITY, he was amazed by the sound. This may vary from one user to another, and that maybe because of the EQ he uses, or maybe they just don't know how to make real sounds.
