That great Marshall classic rock / blues / hard rock tone!

Firstly this is a great amplifier ! Go for this Amplifier if you want that classic Led Zeppelin / Jimi Hendrix / Deep purple type of tone right through the amplifier, dont expect to play dgent/ metal using only this amp, the heaviest it can get is I guess like a Guns n roses kinda distortion ( of course you can play dgent / metal using your effects units / pedals in front of this amplifier like any other amplifier .. I was saying using only the amp ! ) And dont get me wrong ,Its a versatile amplifier nevertheless, not just for rock ! As for clean tones the clean setting on classic gain channel is good enough But my favourite is the crunch setting on classic gain channel .. gives a thicker clean sound which I can overdrive through my pedal board and fender stratocaster and this is the one I use Channel 2 is the overdrive channel called ultra gain with lead 1 and lead 2 ( hence the name dual super lead - D.S.L ) Its got a decent digital reverb built in which I dont use since I have a reverb pedal 40 watts is enough for gigs and jamming with a loud band and more than enough for Home practice - its got a switch in the back which makes it run at 20 watts and this is a lifesaver especially if you have grumpy parents or neighbours!I noticed this amplifier sounds better and better the more time you keep it on ( like all tube amplifiers ) so make sure your amp is turned on atleast an half an hour to an hour before you go on stageIts got a foot switch which comes along with it so you can change the channels while playing live, if youre into that style of playing , I myself just stick to one channel when Im playing so I dont use it that much but its a good option Lastly the price factor is also handy as youre getting a great sounding Marshall tube amplifier at an more affordable rate instead of churning out 150000 or more for a JCM etc. which will require an additional cabinet and also will be too loud for practicing at home !!
