This amp has got decent amount of controls for you to get that perfect overdrive. It also has a crunch on/off function which gives you more of a metal sounding tone with lots of distortion. The gains are not that great. But, I would say this is the perfect amp for anyone who is starting out and this is also light on the pocket. All in all, a great pick for beginners.
