You know what's the best part of this guitar other how amazingly beautiful it looks in cherry ? The coil tapping in the humbuckers. It allows you to dial in a huge variety of tones from heavier stuff like sabbath, iron maiden to mellower tunes of beatles, john mayer etc.Being an SG it has high accessibility to the higher frets, and its easier to play and linger on longer in the higher fret range. Its also dosen't suffer from the infamous SG neck dive partly because of the use of lighter Wilkinson tuners. There are plenty of YouTube review around for you to decide wether you like the tone or not. Personally after months and months of research ,i can attest that this is the best guitar you can buy at this range, period. Oh and it already comes nicely setup & you can play it right out of the box. You're not gonna regret buying this ever if you are a fan of classic 70s rock like me :)
Epiphone SG. There have been serious discussions over the internet on Les Paul vs SG. No doubt Les Paul is a good looking guitar but when it comes to SG Cherryburst, it's out of this world. It's perfectly crafted in a symmetric fashion to balance beautifully in your hands. The clean sound of the guitar is very warm and inspiring. You really would not feel like switching on the distortion. But when you do, the chords fit right in the music. The depth is very nice. The 3 pick ups work brilliantly for a bluesy to a warm sound. The reach on the top of the neck is damn easy due to the cut. The picks up look shiny and nice.I would recommend this guitar. This is my first slightly expensive guitar. Always have been a fan of SG.If you play Rock N Roll or Old School Rock. This guitar is perfect for you.
I must say the is the guitar on which I learned Master Of Puppets by metallica in just 14 days and this is by far the fastest song I can play on guitar. So if you guys have heard Master Of Puppets then you must know what I am talking about....every thing you want in a guitar you will get in it....Nice Sounding pickups (You can change to connections from series to parallel and it will sound from nice to super great... See you tube videos for help)After changing the connections of the pickups the becomes pure metal guitar from being a bluesy and rhythmic guitar..just one problem....21 frets....less frets to do solos....
