I had heard good things about these Squier Bullet Strats. I was not disappointed.

Good guitar for the budget

This is definitely a great guitar for the budget. Obviously corners have been cut to make it affordable. The finish is great. The only thing that could be better is the fretboard. The affinity strat has a better and smoother fretboard. Try to purchase the affinity strat if you can afford it, otherwise this is a great guitar. This guitar is not suitable for metal. But except that it is very versatile. This is the most common guitar shape and in future any kind of spare parts for replacement would easily be available.

Is this guitar good for beginners getting into very basics of guitar, absolutely. Is this good for playing a lot of lead guitar, No. The guitar goes out of tune really easy. The trem system is not the best for heavy usage and the pickups sound just thin and trebly. I'd recommend getting new trem systems and tuners for this thing to use it in a long term. The bridge pickup is harsh, the neck pickup is decent and with a good amp 4th position quack is obtainable
