The guitar package arrived at the courier godown damaged (torn and squashed). The courier withheld delivery due to the damage, following their standard procedure. The Bajaao customer service agent I spoke with did not assure me that the issue would be handled professionally if the package was returned. To avoid loosing what I had paid for, I personally collected the damaged package from the godown. Thankfully, the guitar inside its bag appears undamaged, though I cannot assess potential internal damage.
In summary:
The current courier service is inadequate for handling fragile, expensive instruments.
Expensive instruments should be packed in robust wooden crates, not thin cardboard boxes.
I will not purchase expensive equipment online from Bajaao nor recommend it until this packaging and shipping issue is addressed.
