Hello to anyone reading this review! You may see that I have titled this review 'Cort GA5F-ZR', whereas the product on this page is 'Cort GA5F-PF'. This is because I am actually reviewing the ZR model, and not the PF one. I rated the ZR model poorly and Bajaao did not post my review on its product page. Hence I have to resort to this. Also you may have noticed I have given 5 stars here. The reason is that any 5 star review is automatically posted, whereas any other rating is first reviewed by Bajaao, and no one knows when they actually let it be posted. If you have come this far, here is my rating for the Cort GA5F- ZR: 2 stars. You may ask even if I am rating the ZR at 2 stars, how is that relevant for the PF model? Well, the two guitars are identical in every way except for the wood used for the back and sides of the instrument. Hence you can consider this review as also a review of the PF model. So why did I only give it 2 stars? Here are my reasons, and I will divide it into two segments: Product issue and Service issue. Product Issue: The guitar that I received had two defects. First, the abalone fret inlay on the third fret was missing. Second, the action was horrible. A customer has given a similar review here about the action of the PF model. I adjusted the truss rod to its maximum limit, and still had almost a 5mm gap at the 12th fret, making the instrument unplayable. Such a thing can be expected from a Rupees 5k guitar, but for an instrument costing almost 30k? Hell no. Service Issue: The above issues should have been caught during quality testing. Bajaao claims that it does a QC on each product before shipping it out, I believe it to be utter nonsense. Anyone with a working pair of eyes could have easily seen the missing fret inlay, and anyone with a basic knowledge of guitars would have flagged the instrument for its horrible action and prevented it from being shipped out to paying customers. I ordered the guitar when the COVID crisis was in its initial months, and I honestly did not expect them to ship out the product immediately. But here's the thing: Bajaao claimed a shipping time of 15 or so days on the product page, and on the generated shipping label it said a month. That was fine by me - what else could you expect during this situation. However, I received the actual product almost 2 months after placing the order, that too after countless emails and follow-ups. Bajaao claims they have hired more staff to deal with the crisis, to that I say - 'yeah right'. My final word is - DO NOT BUY THIS GUITAR FROM BAJAAO. Now here's a disclaimer: These models (ZR and PF) are actually good instruments, but you must try them out in person in a music store before dropping your cash. Only if you are satisfied, then go ahead. Cheers!
The guitar arrived fine, in consideration with delivery, perhaps a gig bag could have been added by Bajao, teh guitar arrives bare with the minimum two cardboard packagesPros:The soundboard is a very fine piece of wood will sound better with time Articulate sound, looks greatElectronics work fineNeck is thin and easy to play Cons:Action cannot be altered much with truss rod unless saddle and nut height are adjusted (Max 2 mm in bass string- 12th fret with truss rod adjustment),Altering under it will cause fret buzz, (I have another acoustic with action adjusted to 1.5 mm bass string- 12th fret) without fret buzzFrets are not rounded but cut at an angle and are sharp at ends
