After a full year of playing my 70s modified jazz 5 string Squier BASS guitar... bought from the Trusted Company "Bajaao", I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. As feared my BASS neck doesn't dive downwards when it's strapped on to my shoulder to play. Though 5 string BASS is a bit heavy compared to a normal 4 string BASS. I own a Cort 4 string Action PASSIVE BASS guitar for 15 years. I also played a Vault 4 string PASSIVE BASS guitar for 4 years. In my small experience, "The Weight" of CORT & VAULT BASS Guitars are much lighter than my present SQUIER 5 string BASS. I didn't compromise and bought any random Bass guitar. Instead I patiently waited, amassed my fortune(Rupees) and bought my Squier BASS guitar a year ago. For a full year I have been using the stock 5 strings that came with the guitar. For Private reasons, I boiled them and reusing till now. I will buy Cobalt slinky 5 string for My BASS. THIS BASS is PASSIVE not ACTIVE (no battery required) but it doesn't matter cause the Company fitted Stock pickups are Solid, Powerful, full of Attitude. The Fender tone that We try to visualise & achieve will come out from this Bass. Most important the Player's finger, experience, skill is the TOOL to achieve the Fender tone from this BASS. I have no complaints but the BASS is a bit heavy (good strap will help to carry the load). After browsing, I have come to find out, 4 string 70s modified Squier Jazz BASS is also available for purchase in BAJAAO (year ago 4 string BASS was not available).
