If you are looking for a budget, beginners banjo, this may be it. Great finish on the inlays, and the varnish polish on the wood is sublime. The steel shows no signs of rust after 5months of use (about 80-90% humidity where i live). Only complaint was the string buzz on the 5th G string, although it was an easy fix.
