I have been playing Ukuleles for two years now and this piece of wood is BRILLIANT. The sustain in the strings and the finishing of the Uke is off the mark. The default strings are average but you should always get them changed when you buy a new instrument. I changed the strings when I got mine and they have been awesome ever since.
