First things first, I am neither a pro, nor a music student. Just a music researcher/appreciator who likes to think from a producer's perspective.
I had to prepone buying this midi keyboard because of the lockdown situation and a complete creative block . Bajaao was the only site who were dilevering when Amazon was not. In addition to that my Laptop wasn't in a state to run a DAW, and I was planning on upgrading it soon . But then I did some research about compatibility with mobile devices ( especially android) . Took a leap of faith and ordered this midi keyboard to try and initially connect with my Android phone (One plus 6). The brilliant thing was, it seamlessly integrated with my phone with the free "FL studio Mobile" (FL haters, look away). The Finger drum pad could be manually configured for any sort of drumming style , and the keys worked absolutely fine with no tweaks needed. Solved my initial purpose of wanting to desparately make music , be it using my Phone only. The only Con I felt is , that the keys are not normal sized and thus feel a bit crammed . But its alright . Props to Bajaao for the on time delivery and just fulfilling the order during a lockdown ! Cheers !
Best in this price range! 16 different programs to save. Pads are pretty sensitive but can be improved. Comes with free plugins, samples and subscriptions. You can also set sequence, octave, bpm(speed) and pattern of a note. Tap to set bpm too! Great for beginners. Go buy it upcoming producers!! 4.3 out of 5.
Very compact with this 25 key layout and assignable 8-knobs and 8 banks. If tweaked properly also very potent. USB connnection is all you need. Excellent for MIDI recording and controls. The joystick is also very robust and High-grade. The pads are also very sensitive and dynamic. It comes with two vST plugins (Hybrid and Wobble) with MPK Essentials and the editor, but I use FL studios mainly with this. Also great for live perfomance too. You can plug in and use sustain pedal also that is great bonus.

Been using the Akai mpk mini 3 for a few months now, the setup process was fast. Tutorials get you started up on how to interface with different dacs. Recommend using FL studio. Understanding the interface and tools takes a while if you are a beginner, online tutorials assist in the same (I am novice in music, let alone digital music programs and interfaces)
