Pros:Well balanced.No hyped lows or hies.Minimal ear fatique on long sessions.Cost effective.Killer looks.Cons:Wire connection too delicate.No rounded wire in box.Final judgement:It wont sound great to programmers or music lovers but best in its class for serious audio engineers!!
Highly recommended,awesome headphones at very low price.
Arguably the best studio headphone at this price range (Do buy an Amp and DAC for best performance). The sound stage is excellent. Everything sound much more natural, as if the instruments are right there - being played around you.
Headphones were fine but package was damaged on arrival.
You can certainly spend tons of money on headphones and still be looking for more. I am sure you can justify that sort of money if you are doing all of your mixing and editing exclusively on headphones but when it comes to extended everyday use you need headphones that are both comfortable, accurate, dependable, and most importantly economical! That's where AKG 240 kicks in! I've been producing electronic music in my studio for 7 years now and me and my studio partner both own the K240's for many years, not just a few months, and believe me this is the sort of product you may feel doesn't exisit...but it does. Love these headphones! I am not sure how long AKG has been making the K240's it has been more than a decade, and they are around because they are indeed legendary for its price.
