This is my first guitar and believe me it's a gem. I always wanted to buy a solid top as it offers better tone and much wider soundstage than laminates. And this was the cheapest, solid top I could find. I made a gamble and went for it with a lot of skepticism. But once I received it I knew it was a high quality piece of art. Sound is bang on too. I'm loving it. I compared it with Yamaha F310, Cort AD810 and other laminates and this blows them away. I can safely say this is the best sounding acoustic guitar below 15k. Howeve it's not Sitka spruce and it's a solid Engelmann spruce top. Some say Engelmann is softer sounding and suits only finger-picking but I don't find it such. This sounds great for hard strumming, as well as playing lead. But change the strings though as they rust quickly. All in all, totally recommended. Go for it fingers crossed.
Recieved the guitar in less than a week in mount abu, rajasthan. delivery is good from fedex. packaging wasgreat protected from a major blow during transport. the guitar is simply awsome. great finish, comfortable action & high quality parts including bridge, nut, neck, top .... just everything. prior to the purchase when i posted the question 'where the guitar is made in ?' the answer was 'origin in korea , made in china'. but onthe backside of the headstock its written 'handcrafted in republic of indonesia' & inside the guitar its written' made in indonesia'. the answer should be fixed in 'ask a question' section, its misleading. before buying thisguitar i purchased ibanez 39 inch and fender 150 which were made in china ... i didn't like them much. thisguitar from indonesia is way way better than them. superior quality ... hats off indonesia. i am a bit more thanbeginner and understand guitars.i thank my wife for suggesting me to buy a good branded guitar instead of the budget ones which gave me courage to spend 10 k online. also, i was bit worried about buying online ...but now i feel soo happy that i trusted bajaao.com. i wanted a better bag for my great guitar so asked bajaao.com and they suggested padded 8mm bajaao bag. iordered that too ... fits perfectly and gives great protection. don't play the guitar with pic unless you are sure about not returningit, otherwise the picguard with have scratches and there will be problem in recieving full refund. in the reviewsi read complaints about old strings, therefore after purchasing the guitar i dropped them an email requesting for newstrings .... and it was done. so dont worry about this issue, just drop a mail. thanks bajaao.comi am attaching some pics of this beautiful and efficient masterpiece to give a better idea. i suggest to buyindonesian ibanez from bajaao.com. . thanks a lot to bajaao.com for providing this stunninghandcrafted ibanez guitar from indonesia. Best Wishesumed, mount abu
First the good things:- Guitar feels good, slightly heavier than my Yamaha F310-CS, feels sturdier- Since I was already used to the dimensions of F310, the dimensions of Ibanez AW120-NT felt natural and good- Guitar looks very good, especially the Engelmann Spruce's lighter colour and grains of natural wood look amazing- The action was perfect -- I think as low as it could get without any fretbuzz, so very beginner friendly, although I could work with higher ones as I also play a bit of Classical Guitar. The fretboard is a step-up and good quality. The light polish is very good for fast movement.- The box had an extra saddle (feels heavy, so I guess it is 'bone' saddle, though it could be a good quality plastic saddle as well), an extra bridge pin and an allen-key for the truss-rod- The sound is definitely richer, with distinctly more number of harmonics, mellower yet richer bass, clear mid-range and a sufficiently bright treble. Even my son and wife could figure out the better quality of sound compared to my older guitars. Definitely a step-up for me.- Amazing value for money at this price. There's hardly another guitar with a solid spruce top, mahogany sides & back, decent quality of neck and hardware at this price range. I've tried Cort Earth series, and they have similar quality, but normally more expensive and very tough to find in-stock.Overall, now that I have the guitar in hand, I'm quite happy with it (so far). Spruce needs to mature and I hope that it'd only get better. I will change the strings soon, as the ones it shipped aren't great. Now for what could improve:- Fedex is the bajaao shipping partner, and they are absolutely horrendous. I'd taken standard shipping (and bajaao had packed the guitar reasonably well), but shipped using Fedex Economy. The item landed in Bangalore on 3rd day, but from their Bangalore warehouse to my home, it took 10 days. Customer care of Fedex is a black hole. Lost much sleep and peace because of Fedex.
The guitar body was upto the level of expectation BUT i was surprised to see that the strings on such an expensive guitar were old and rusty. As if the guitar had been used extensively before coming to me.
Nice product
