Every Indian metal band dreams of winning a Rolling Stone Metal Award. Why? Because they're India's only meaningful metal awards and they have critics choice awards as well as popular choice awards for certain categories, which is a great way to do things!
Now in its third year, the Rolling Stone Metal Awards are a little more than a month away and have announced their final list of nominees. After over a month of brutal deliberation, they've counted your votes, crunched the numbers and present to you the nominees for India’s only metal awards.
Leading the nominations are Mumbai’s Goddess Gagged and Providence with seven nods each. Bangalore’s Eccentric Pendulum is close behind with six, followed by Pangea, Dark Helm and Skyharbor.
The Rolling Stone Metal Awards will be held on July 1st, 2012 at the Blue Frog and will also feature performances by some of the best metal bands in the country.
Fans can vote for their favorite bands in three categories – Best Song, Best Album and Best Band – starting May 25th, 2012 right up to June 25th, 2012.
