Hi everyone!

Because my English is not perfect I won't talk too much. Fell free to use any chord or chord progression for the patterns. Count out the beats loud ( one and (1 beat), two and (2 beat) etc.) and start slowly. I add the strumming directions for the notes.
I suggest to use the Am-C or Am-E chord progression because these are easy.

Legend:
H - half note
Q - quarter note
Q.- quarter dotted note
E - eight note
D - downstroke
U - upstroke
+ - and for a beat (like one and = 1+)
Let's start whit the 2/4 time signature:

strumming pattern 1.

Patterns for 4/4 time signatures

For this time signature you can play every pattern from 2/4 only you have to play it twice.

strumming pattern 1.  (2/4 1st pattern two times)

strumming pattern 3. (e.g. Linkin Park - The Messenger)

strumming pattern 4.
(2/4 2nd pattern two times, e.g. Avenged Sevenfold - Scream solo rhythm)

strumming pattern 5. (note: this takes 2 bar of 4/4 not one)

For 5/4 time signature just put a 3/4 and a 2/4 pattern together or a 4/4 pattern plus one quarter note.
e.g.

|1+2+3+4+5+|

For 6/4, 7/4 and so on just keep mixing the patterns from above, and feel free to experience. Remember to practice these slowly and count out loud.
